I feel so proud to be Norwegian every time I see Miki's LP to Grieg. I come from the same town as him. cheers

Yes, Bergen!!

And I think Morozov's edition of this Grieg masterpiece is quite superb in term of matching it into a figure skating program!!

SmileFan, which recording of Grieg's Piano Concierto would you suggest for Miki to listen to? You know, she can carry that artistic impression into her performance anew.

Rubinstein? Michelageli? Argerich?
Or maybe Julia Fischer .... you know the violinist playing piano for this!
I recently heard this and was quite shocked.
(and her fluent French too oh boy.)

I must admit that I am not an expert when it comes to recordings of this piece, but I think it might be interesting to listen to Leif Ove Andsnes' recording of the piece. He is from Norway (studied in Bergen) and is one of the worlds most famous pianists now.

It's a beautiful piece and I will definitely listen to more recordings of it!

Go Miki cheers
